snaprigo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Emin Akpolat, based in New Jersey, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
By using snaprigo, you agree to the practices described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your first name, email address, and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and stored in hashed form — we never see or store your actual password.
Onboarding quiz answers. During sign-up we ask questions about your grocery habits, household size, dietary preferences, cooking time, and goals. We use these to personalize your recipe recommendations and meal plans.
Fridge photos. When you use the scan feature, the photo you take is transmitted to Anthropic’s API for the sole purpose of identifying food items in the image. The photo is used only for that processing and is not stored on our servers after the scan completes. We keep only the resulting list of identified ingredients.
App usage data stored on your device. Your fridge inventory, meal plans, grocery lists, savings totals, cooking history, recipe preferences, and app settings are stored locally in your browser’s storage on your own device. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Whop. We do not collect, see, or store your card number, billing details, or other payment credentials. Whop’s own privacy policy governs how they handle that information.
Technical information. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and infrastructure may automatically collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, for security, performance, and analytics purposes.

We may add or change providers as the app evolves; we’ll update this policy when we do.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We extend these rights to all users regardless of location:
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these rights arise under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have comparable rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information, and we do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and restricted server-side access to sensitive credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
snaprigo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at ssnaprigo@gmail.com and we will delete it.
snaprigo is operated from the United States. If you access the app from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use of snaprigo after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
